Combining high temperature strength and toughness, on-site operation and construction are extremely convenient, especially suitable for medium frequency electric furnaces used in the casting and metallurgical industries for melting steel. It can be combined with acidic (quartz sand), alkaline (magnesia) or neutral (alumina) refractory ramming materials to form a complete refractory insulation lining with mica paper and coil refractory mud.
